Picture Game

I was tagged by my sister Brandy. Here are the rules...

1. Go to the fourth picture folder on your computer
2. Post the fourth picture
3. Explain the picture
4. Tag four more people

Ok this picture was taken one weekend when my sister asked us to babysit her dog, Harley (the black dog). We regularly take Maggie (the white dog) on walks around the neighborhood so we did this day as well. The only problem was Harley didn't have a leash. Actually Harley doesn't own a leash I'm pretty sure. You see, Harley is a house potato, meaning he doesn't exercise. At first, he didn't even know how to go on a walk.. we were like "Walk!" So we had to take little Harley on a walk with no leash which could be potentially dangerous if cars came by, but it worked out fine. No worries Brandy..

I don't know if these people have played the game or not but I'm tagging...

1. Brenna
2. Kelsey
3. Kyleigh
4. Umm... I need more friends who have blogs...

My Valentine <3

So Justin was sitting on the couch and I asked him, "Will you be my Valentine?" He said, "No." But I know what he was really thinking was... "Of course sweetheart I will be your Valentine. I love you more than anything. You are the love of my life." This just wasn't the answer I got, but I just know it's what he was thinking. No really I am sure that my husband will do something special for me as he does every year. Last year he bought me pearl earrings and put an offer on the house I really really wanted (we didn't get it but that's ok- I love ours more).. The year before he got me two dozen red roses and took me to this really nice restaurant in downtown Austin. Anyways, I want to do a special blog dedicated to him- my Valentine!!!

Justin and I started dating in May of 2005. We met when we were both working at the Bryan Golf Course. In Novemeber of 2005, for our 6th month Anniversary, we were engaged! We were married September 23, 2006. My precious Maggie joined our family as my Christmas present the first Christmas we were married. Wyatt came this October. It has now been 2 years and 4 1/2 months since we've been married and we are expecting our first baby! It's a love story!

P.S.- He finally said he would love to be my Valentine! :) :) :)

Friends' February Birthdays!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! My bestest best friend, Brandy Chappell's birthday was February 3rd and I should have already posted this but I'm a little late. I did not forget her birthday though and wished her a Happy Birthday on her special day! I also have 2 other friends that have birthdays this weekend. Sara and Dyann! I met Sara when I transfered to Texas A&M (she did as well) and we became friends and took all of our remaining classes together. Or as many as we could! I became good friends with Dyann during our methods semester and the 3 of us along with our friend Katy, hung out every Thursday for lunch and between classes. Oh how I miss those girls!!! We had so much fun complaining about men, classes, and talking about teacher stuff. Now Sara is in Katy and Brandy is in Kansas. :( Miss you girls!! Dyann- let's do dinner sometime! :) Here's some pics of the Birthday Girls!!!

More Belly... (literally)

Ok so here are the 11 weeks belly photos and I will be 12 weeks tomorrow so I'll be posting more photos and details about the 3-month doctor appointment asap. I heard the nausea and sickness is supposed to stop at 12 weeks but I was in bed last night feeling my worst. Justin had to wait on me and bring me crackers and Sprite along with a back rub. What a good husband. Although he didn't seem thrilled about it.. but he should be. Anyway, if 12 weeks is the stopping point for feeling gross then little baby you have one last night to make me feel sick and then no more!

Belly Photos!

Ok so I really debated whether I would want to show everyone my belly photos, but I decided YES! So here they are..

This picture below is the night we found out I was pregnant. I think I was 4 weeks.

This is at 5 weeks (below).

This is me at 7 weeks (below).

These next two pictures are me at 8 weeks.

This is me at 9 weeks (below).

Below is me at 10 weeks. One at lunch time and one in the evening. My camera was acting weird so we took them at different times and I look different in the two so I included them both.

Tuesday, Feb. 3rd I will be 11 weeks so I will be posting belly photos as we take them. The next Tuesday, Feb. 10th I will be 12 weeks/3 months and I'll go to my next doctor appointment!

Baby Books, Baby Books, & More Baby Books

To prepare for our new arrival, Justin and I began to read What to Expect When You're Expecting: Fourth Edition. We would read a little at a time- mostly interested in what our baby was doing inside my belly and how it was developing. As I read along I realized the book was also a giant list of things I cannot do! Exactly like they say on the movie Knocked Up. So I too cannot smoke marijuana while jumping on the trampoline... Hahahah It's hilarious. We LOVE that movie. We've watched it over and over and as soon as we found out I was pregnant we had to watch it again! Anyway, back to the book.... It you are expecting or will be expecting this book is a must buy. And no I am not a paid endorser.

Let me tell you what the book says my baby- ok our baby- is doing at this point. "Your baby is just over 2 inches long now and weighs about a third of an ounce... Hair follicles are forming and fingernail and toenail beds are beginning to develop... Your fetus has distinct human characteristics by now, with hands and feet in the front of the body, ears nearly in their final shape, open nasal passages on the tip of the nose, a tongue and palate in the mouth, and visible nipples." Yay for nipples, I hope there's only 2 and no extra nubbins like Chandler on Friends.

Also my friend, Brenna, let me borrow one of her books. It's called The Girlfriends Guide to Pregnancy (Or Everything Your Doctor Won't Tell You). I've REALLY liked reading this book- it's so interesting and easy to read. The other books are more textbook and this is a woman telling stories about her girlfriends' pregnancies and all the details and insights that aren't necessarily covered in books or doctor visits. Some sections include: Fear of Getting Ugly, 10 Commandments of Morning Sickness, Fear of Turning into Your Mother, Pregnancy Insanity, You Will Get Fat, I'm Getting so Big I Might Explode, etc. I read one chapter the other day and it was sadly so true it was creepy. So I was alittle moody and emotional last week...... Only for a couple of days! I yelled at Justin because I thought he took the one little baby grape that I had in my bowl. Well he hadn't and he said, "Don't you think you're overreacting just a little?" GRRR. So I go lay in the bath with the book the next day and begin to read the section called I Think I Hate My Baby's Father! It says, "Get prepared for comments from your mate like 'Aren't you overreacting just a little?" Yep- I've heard that one before!!

After I am finished with these books, along with the 3 baby name books I'm going through, I wasnt to read the book my friend Katie is reading. It is called Baby Wise. It's about making the baby a part of your family unit and discusses good sleeping patterns. (Don't hold me to this. She told me about it and I looked at it in the book store and it looked really good. I'll let you know about it when I read it!) How is it Katie?? Let me know if you still recommend it! :)
