Happy Independence!

Although Justin and I didn't have big plans for the 4th of July this year it was still a pretty good day! We went and did a little grocery shopping at HEB and CVS (got some CVS bucks), hung out at the house for a little while, went swimming at my sister and Luke's house, took a nap, ordered Double Dave's Pizza (the best pizza rolls ever), and ended the night at the George Bush Library to see the fireworks! The firework event started off a little rocky with our golden retriever, Wyatt. First we pull up on the side of 2818 which is very busy with cars and when Justin lifts up the back door of his car, Wyatt flies out of there very speedily! He usually waits for you to tell him to get out but not this time. I almost had a heart attack because I thought he was about to get flattened on the road! So here I am with a big pregnant belly, holding a bag full of necessities on one arm and holding Maggie in the other and I run after Wyatt and grab his collar. So then we walk across George Bush Dr. and find a spot to set up camp. Everything is going good until Wyatt starts to run off. While Justin was setting up his chair he didn't realize Wyatt was chewing through his lease... so Justin fixes it, later Wyatt gets out of it again, but is finally good and leased.. So I'm thinking when the fireworks actually do start Wyatt is going to flip out and go crazy because he is the biggest scaredy cat I know! He's scared when you shake a plastic bag or trash bag and tinkled in the house when I started the vacuum. However, he did very well and even watched the fireworks. My Maggie on the other hand was shaking the whole time in my lap. She did not care for all the loud bangs. The fireworks were very pretty though and everything went well besides Wyatt escaping a few times. I give Justin a hard time about him but I would have been very sad if Wyatt would have become a pancake.

Justin and I went fishing with my parents at Gibbons Creek in Carlos the other night. Justin caught three fish and I only caught one alligator gar and reeled one in for my dad...maybe I'll have better luck next time.

8 Month Doctor Appointment!

I went Tuesday, June 30th, for my 32 week doctor appointment and everything was great! Dr. Zivney said he wishes he could clone me for all of his patients so that's good.. :) They checked my weight, sugar level, blood pressure, baby's heartbeat (which is really loud now since she's getting so big), and my fundal measurement. I measured 30 1/2 cm which is good. Perfect would be 32 cm but he was very happy with what it was. Originally the plan was to start going back to the office every 2 weeks during July but he said since we weren't having any kind of issues, I don't need to come back until 4 weeks later (July 28th) for my 9 month appointment. After that though I will be going in weekly for the month of August! I actually wanted that extra appoinment in there just because I like to see how everything is going with the baby... but I'd rather it be this way than him worried or concerned about the baby. 53 days from today until the due date!!!!!

Baby Shower!

I had a baby shower this past Saturday in Bryan at the Brazos Center. My hostesses did such an awesome job and we got soooo many great gifts from everyone!!!!

My hostesses were Brandy Bradicich, Kelsey Coneley, Magan Smith, Brenna Price, Allison Fountain, Tracey Cruz, Shelby Route, Courtney Rosow, Emily Parker, and Brandy Chappell

We played a game where you smell the smashed up chocolate bar in the "dirty" diaper and try to guess which chocolates are in which diapers. Gross but fun!

A friend made this pink A&M blanket and a matching wet one container. SO cute!

Magan did good! I had told her how I want ice cream all the time so she got me chocolate syrup, pecans, and whipped cream, along with all the other gifts in that basket.

The hostesses gave us the bassinet cradle we really wanted and the comforter for the crib! Thank you!

Some of the girls that played on the volleyball team I coached came to the shower after playing in a summer league tournament and winning 1st place!

31 Week Belly Photos!

Here are my 31 Week Belly Photos!

I can put my hand on my belly now where her feet are positioned and feel her foot pressed against my skin. Justin said it feels like a tumor poking out of my stomach. My only complaints at 31 weeks are heartburn and the very frequent trips to the restroom!

4D Ultrasound

Today I went to the Brazos Valley Women's Center to have a 4D ultrasound done. I was so excited to see the baby's face! However, baby girl's face was so close to the placenta that the ultrasound tech couldn't get really good pictures.. :( She said if there was more fluid between her face and the placenta we'd have good pics but it was too hard to see her in that position.

We did get these four pictures though. This first one is the best.

Her tongue is sticking out in this second pic.

This pic is a little scary looking.. but you can see her lips.

The black and white section on the left hand side is a regular ultrasound and it's showing her profile. That's also hard to see though.

We were a little disappointed that we didn't get great pics but it was still neat to see her on the screen again. I was right about her position. I've been getting kicked in the ribs on my right side and that's definitely where her feet are located. The tech said she weighs four pounds right now. We also got a dvd of the ultrasound too so if anyone wants to watch it- we have it! :)
